We Will Win Gold For Eko Football Festival Team,Bolowotan fc duo of Ochucko Jacob and Shola Bussa Boast

 









Bolowotan Football club of Ikorodu players are optimistic to win Gold
in the 18th National Sports Festival tagged Eko 2012, as The duo of
Ochuko Jacob and Shola Bussa look forward to make the team that will
be doing battle for the Eko Football Festival team.

Both players contributed immensely for Bolowotan's promotion into the
Nigeria National League (NNL) from the Nigeria Nation-wide League last
season.

Ochucko Jacob and Shola Bussa both players are currently in the Eko
Football Festival team.

Last season in the Nation-wide league, the goal poacher, Ochuko Jacob
scored a total number of nine goals in thirteen appearances, He
notched three goals in four matches in Lagos State F.A Cup 2012 , and
six goals in nine matches in the Amateur league.

Shola Bussa on the other hand is a defensive Midfielder, who has got
energy, and deadly passes, whose  defensive ability has earned him a
call-up into the Eko Football Festival  team.

The two players expressed their profound gratitudes towards the Lagos
State Government and the organizers.

"I must thank the Lagos State Government for this event which has
become a success even before the kick off date" and also the
organizers who has deemed it fit to give us a chance to prove
ourselves, we promised to put a smile on the faces of Lagosians and
all sport lovers in the state" by lifting the trophy in the football
category of the sports festival" says Ochuko.

Shola Bussa says" the organizers are putting everything in places to
ensure that we win the trophy and we can not afford to dissapoint
them".

Bolowotan coach, Samuel Olofu  believed that his boys will not
dissapoint him. He says" Ochuko is an attacker who can play and
offensive role and as well as the top man, he has got skills, he can
tear any defence apart if care is not taking",

"Shola is a team mover, despite the fact that he plays a defence role
yet you see him launching attacks, and he wins the ball alot, he has
got power and energy that can last for over 90 minutes," when you put
all of these qualities together you will agree with me that they will
make me proud at the end of the day".

BEACH SOCCER DUBAI 2012;ALL THE UPDATES,FIXTURES AND RESULTS


The new edition of the SAMSUNG Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup Dubai has already found its place in the Beach Soccer Calendar. Between October 30th and November the 3rd, the United Arab Emirates resort will host a new chapter in its amazing Beach Soccer history, again with the best teams in each continent battling for a valuable and prestigious trophy.

The amazing maiden edition of the tournament, held in November 2011, lit the way and made the will to have it happening again blossom inside everyone involved. This desire was satisfied weeks ago, with the official agreement between the Dubai Sports Council and Beach Soccer Worldwide to have the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup setting camp in Dubai for the next five years.

SERENA WILLIAMS NOW IN LAGOS,WANT RIO 2016 OLYMPIC GOLD

Talking of preparations meeting determination, Williams sisters; Serena and Venus served that fact when they confidently said during a press conference in Lagos that they are ready to play the tennis doubles at the 2016 Rio Games for a chance to win their fourth gold medal.

The sisters will be playing an exhibition match with each other on Friday at the Ikoyi Club in Lagos; They arrived Nigeria on Tuesday while they are on a two-nation tour where they will be promoting "the role that women in shifting perceptions and encourage development in africa at all levels", the second country being South Africa as they were accompanied by their mum Oracene Price.
Though, Rio 2016 is still four years away from now, but it show that preparation is in top gear as the sisters could not hide their excitement on the thought of their doubles defence come 2016 in Brazil.
“It’s our main goal,” Serena Williams said. “We were talking … about how we can’t wait to get to Rio. And obviously, bearing that we’re both healthy, that’s our goal to be there.”
And talking of fitness, on Sunday, little sister Serena beat top-ranked Victoria Azarenka 6-4, 6-4 to win the WTA Championships final in Istanbul.
Venus and Serena teamed to win 13 Grand Slam doubles titles and won Olympic gold in doubles in 2000, 2008 and 2012. This year, the sisters beat Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic 6-4, 6-4 at the London Games.

The Williams sisters have played each other competitively in 23 professional matches since 1998, with Serena winning 13 of these matches. Their overall head-to-head series is 13–10.
Serena who is currently ranked number 3 in the world has played Venus 12 times in Grand Slam singles tournaments and 11 times in other tournaments (including 11 finals).
They have met in eight Grand Slam finals, with Serena winning six times. Beginning with the 2002 French Open, they played each other in four consecutive Grand Slam singles finals, which was the first time in the open era that the same two players had contested four consecutive Grand Slam finals.
